Our Article 35 Justification of Force Course has been helpful in getting people an unrestricted pistol permit as well as helping people get their sportsman restriction removed! This course along with our USCCA Certified Concealed Carry Course puts you in a great position when asking your judge for a full carry permit without any restrictions! We only have one A35 course left on the calendar and it is next week so signup before it is too late!
We have our last Zombie Shoot of this year and it is on October 8th! This one will be outdoors and we will have moving and exploding targets! We just got in the new "Threat Down Zombies" targets from our sponsor Triumph Systems. Come help us stop the horde!
In the past two months Matt was certified as the first and currently only United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) Training Counselor, NY State Security Guard General Topics Instructor, and a NY State DCJS/MPTC Aerosol Subject Restraint (ASR)/OC (pepper spray) Instructor for Law Enforcement. By the end of the year Matt will also be certified from ASP and Safariland as a handcuff, baton and flashlight instructor as well as a NY DCJS/MPTC Defensive Tactics Instructor in hand-to-hand combat, handcuffing, and collapsible baton. Many more courses will be coming out of these certifications.
We are offering the USCCA Instructor Workshop in December for those looking to become a USCCA Certified Instructor. We are also working to form a school with the state and have a goal of offering the 8-hour pre-assignment and in-service as well as the 16-hour OJT courses by years end.
We have partnered up on some courses with Shooters Haven. So far we have collaborated on two NRA BIT, an RSO, and PPITH Instructor. Next we are offering a Sabre Red Pepper Spray Instructor Course in November and soon will be offering a "How to use Pepper Spray" Course for civilians.
Other new courses we are working on are:
• Active Shooter Force-on-Force scenarios with Stress Vests
• How does your defensive ammo work when shot into ballistics gel
• Use your flashlight for defense
• Defensive handcuffing for security guards and loss prevention
We are now approved in Broome County for the pistol permit course. We have our NY Pistol Permit Courses booked out till the end of the year in the Syracuse, Auburn, Watertown, and New Hartford areas. Spread the word and let's get everyone you know a pistol permit before it is too late!
