Founder and Lead Instructor, Matthew J. Mallory is a U.S. Army veteran and a highly experienced firearms instructor whose passion for weapons and self-defense began at a very young age. Currently, Matt works as a sworn New York State Law Enforcement Officer, firearms instructor (USCCA, NRA, UTM, Utah, and New York), self-defense instructor (NY, TASER, ASP, Safariland, and Sabre Red), and gun store owner. He teaches more than 60 different firearms and self-defense courses, over 200 times each year, to many thousands of students all over the country. He has also traveled the county working as a brand ambassador and pro staff for many companies (USCCA, Laser Ammo, Shooter’s Technology Group, Mantis, and Angel Armor). His over 35 years of vast experience and passion for teaching ensures that his courses are educational and highly entertaining.

David Meade is our sales rep, instructor, staff writer, as well as part of our marketing team. He grew up in Oswego, NY and since 2004 has lived in the Liverpool/Clay area where he currently resides with his wife Pam. He enjoys being active, healthy, working out at the gym and being outside biking, golfing, or sport shooting and practicing at the range.
He currently works with the NYS Department of Health as a Life Safety Code Specialist and Fire Inspector surveying all types of medical facilities around NYS to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations. Dave has over 16 years of special expertise in reviewing medical facilities design and construction, environmental safety and operations, clinical issues, and review of facilities emergency preparedness plans. Robert O’Neal heads up instruction for the PS&Ed medical courses and helps Matt with the firearms and law enforcement courses as needed. Rob is a New York State Law Enforcement Officer, National Rifle Association (NRA) Certified Pistol Instructor and has been a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid Instructor for over 15 years.
He was the American Red Cross (Utica Chapter) 2002 Youth Instructor of the year. He has also served in several deployments, including a Medic during Hurricane Katrina. Robert has been involved in Emergency Medical Services for over 10 years, 7 of which as a Paramedic. He has served in the cities of Syracuse, Utica and the out lying communities. David Wencek instructs NRA and USCCA courses for PS&Ed. Dave is a twenty five year veteran, Security Policeman of the United States Air Force. He holds several instructor qualifications with the National Rifle Association (NRA) and the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA).

Brandon Kells is a Gun rights advocate and outdoors man who believes in being properly educated.
Brandon is currently a full-time sworn police officer, a USCCA Certified Firearms Instructor, NRA Certified Shotgun Instructor, NRA Range Safety Officer, and a Sabre Red OC (pepper spray) Instructor. Brandon plans on furthering his education as much as possible and becoming an Instructor in as many disciplines as he can to help insure the safety of the public.
Along with the previously stayed instructor certifications Brandon is also a Certified Crime Scene Clean up technician, Bio Hazard Specialist, OSHA 10 Certified, and 40-hour Hazmat Certified. Brandon has also completed the NY hunter education safety course, NY safe boating safety course, and the NY snowmobile safety course.
Brandon spent about four-years working off and on at four different Nuclear power plants along with operating his own contracting/property maintenance business.
James Brown earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Sociology with a concentration in Deviance, as well as an Associates of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. He has over 28 years’ of experience as a security professional, and 23 years’ of experience as a mental health counselor. He is the Training Manager for Securitas Security Services with 15 years’ experience supervising 500 security officers.

Alexandra Tracy is a nine-year NYS EMT who has been immersed in the outdoors for nearly her whole life. She discovered her passion for teaching while volunteering with her local fire department where she held the Rescue Lieutenant position for a period of time. With multiple certifications, including specialty rescue and medical, Allie found her passion in the combination of her two loves: the seclusion of the outdoors and emergency services. She teaches wilderness survival and wilderness medical classes and hopes to continue learning well into her career. She has a personal love for range time, with her eye on firearms instruction. One of her favorite personal mantras is “Everything is a learning experience, especially teaching others.” An avid advocate for our veterans and LEOs, she works in administration with an international PTSD support group that specializes in Emergency Services and Veteran support in her free time.
